Savor the last slow sips of summer

Real renewable energy lies in the art of eating and living like the Queen you are

I recently read a newsletter from a colleague of mine in which she described August as “a funeral for summer.”

I used to feel exactly this way, until I began consciously noticing the magic of this “fifth season,” spanning mid-August to late September, when Mother Earth pauses in equipoise before stirring up autumn’s whirlwind activities.

Late Summer is the perfect time to resist the back-to-busy juggernaut and simply stop.

Pause.

Appreciate.

Recharge.

If you, like my colleague, are already grieving the loss of summer, take heart in this talk from my Women, Food & Forgiveness Academy archives, where I guide you through an archetypal journey, from the nurturing Mother of Summer to the regal Queen of Autumn, by stepping off the hurry-hurry treadmill and reconnecting to the magic of mindful eating and living.

As for Me …

I’ve been relishing my intervals of summer play time out of my office and away from my screens.

Recent summer adventures include: (1) donning the Crown of Age with my a few of my client homegirls at our "Becoming Ageless As We Age" retreat; (2) feeling "age-be-damned" invincible on a mountain hike moments before spraining my knee while fording a stream; (3) kayaking near Pikes Peak with a longtime client turned good friend

When I get back to work in earnest I’ll resume my semi-usual posting, including a conversation with astrology doyenne Erin Reese of Truth and Consciousness here on Substack, an audio series for paid subscribers based on my “Becoming Ageless As We Age” August retreat, and a whole new rebrand for the new year. Stay tuned!
